- Dangerbird is a full tilt, loud ass band from Louisville, KY. The band is Brian Gray (vocals, guitar), Mike Nix (guitar, vocals), Donnie Bott (bass), and Bradley Coomes (drums). Brian and Bradley were members of the now defunct band Pine Club. Donnie has recorded Pine Club in the past and Mike and Bradley have been friends since they were rock-obsessed teens. Dangerbird is a great excuse for these chums to drink beer and get their fix for killer riff-heavy rock a la Neil Young, The Faces, The Stones, and The Who. Their debut recording, Dr. Legs and the Medicine Ball, borrows from these Classic Rock heavyweights and from more recent guitar-centric acts like Built to Spill, Dinosaur Jr., and Wilco. It adds up to some sweet tunes with catchy melodies and killer riffs. Dangerbird has shared the stage with many amazing bands including Cory Branan, Glossary, and J-Roddy Walston and the Business.
